I bought the Hotbodies fender eliminator a while back and put it on, but right off the bat, I knew it wouldn't last long. It's not made well at all. the plastic is paper thin and brittle.

The turn signal brackets broke within about a month, and the license plate holder part broke recently as well:

It's been held together with black duck tape for a while now, and it's just too flimsy. So I decided to make my own fender eliminator out of the parts from the stock fender.

1. Cut both ends off of the stock fender:

2. Trim the bottom end so it fits inside the top end and attach them together using a couple screws:

3. Attach the stock license plate bracket:

4. I used the stock reflector bracket for the turn signals (I may use some smaller brackets later to bring the turn signals in a little closer):

Here is the final result:

The Hotbodies fender eliminator was also always a pain to take off and put back on when I do track days. One thing I always loved about the stock fender, is that it's a breeze to remove/reinstall. So now I have that back again!
