they are very cheap, but has anyone tried them. all i care about is that its not too hard to turn in parking lot situations and that it wont allow the tankslappers.

I just picked one up this weekend.
For the price it is worth a try.

Haven't done a lot of testing yet but the install was easy
and so far so good. No problems in the parking lots and
it does seem to make the bike feel more stable.

I'll let you know once I've got some more testing done.

This is just my opinion on this topic.
Daytona makes a marginal damper, nothing fancy and it does an average job. Its really going to depend on what kind of riding you do. If you are an aggressive rider, I advise you invest (yes invest)in a better suiting damper such as the scotts, GPR, or ohlins. It takes one bad slapper to put your butt and your bike on the ground, around a tree, into oncoming traffic...etc. The choice is yours. Just my $.02
