Holy shit...on motogp.com (if you're a member) they posted video of the 800cc 2007 season MotoGP testing at Brno, and they showed the new Yamaha M8 and the Ducati GP7...and holy shit. The M8 looks exactly like you'd expect it to look...Like if you took the M1 as a 990cc bike, and made a smaller, lighter 800cc bike with the exact same styling, you'd expect it to look exactly like it does. Even the distinctive front end and narrow sharp tail look the same, the bike just looks narrower and smaller...it looks really good.
But the Ducati...holy christ, that thing looks good. The tail section especially gets me, as the rest of the bike looks like a smaller version of their 990cc, with the exception of the front intake being a little more aggressive and a little less slack-jawed-open-mouthed looking...which just by itself changes the entire appearance to look gorgeous, but the new tail really sets it off. And you can't really see it from the pictures, but the gas tank is reshaped too, a lot more angular compact-looking and streamlined...sorta like what you'd get if you mixed the 999r tank and the GP6 tank.
