Did a search and didn't find what I'm looking for. I have a 93' zx6e that I blew the engine in this week[B)]. I found a 96' zx6r engine. Will it bolt up[?]?
I went to the dealer and they didn't know if it would work or not. The P/N on the case for the 6e is 14001-5291
The P/N on the case for the 6r is 14001-1210
The parts Dept. didn't know if last 4 numbers made a difference or not.
Service Dept. flat out said I don't know.

It won't bolt straight in. The mounting points are a bit different.

Any ZX-6E engine from '93 onwards will bolt straight in though.

I went and looked at the engine today. The mounting points looked real close so I purchased it. When I got it home I measured every angle I could come up with and all the mounting points were the same. I'll start putting it in this week and see what happens.
