Hola People

Was just wondering if anyone new if the fuel pump for this model/year cable was serviceable? Mine has a severed power cable flush with the pump side.

Some advice from experience. If the fuel pump set up is anything like the Suzuki sv650s. They have a low and a high pressure filter. The low pressure tea bag filter being removable and washable. The high pressure one is encased in the plastic molding. You need to run forward and back pressure through it to flush this out or replace the plastic unit (expensive here as we cannot just buy this part, only the complete fuel pump assembly). It is important to clean the low pressure one at least every 2 years. Any blockage can be a big problem leading to fuel starvation and running lean causing major engine damage later on. It is a common problem with suzuki and Kawasaki fuel injected models.
