Hi everyone ... first thread i'm making ... i'm an owner of a 2007 er6n from Greece ... for about 2 years now with a full tank i have done about 250 km (155 m) constantly ... in the last 6 months though suddenly it dropped to 140 km (87 m) ... it's a huge difference to justify any change in driving style i might have done (i haven't) ... after the problem first appeared i changed the the spark plugs,multipliers,air filter and i have cleaned the air and fuel system completely ... all were in a very bad condition ... but the problem still continued ... if you have seen this issue before and have any advice or solutions it would be much appreciated ... feel free to ask any additional information ... i'm not sure i know all the mechanical parts in english :crying: ... thank you very much in advance !!!

Hi Niko, that's a weird situation indeed as the difference in fuel consumption is huge.

My suggestion would be to check your fuel injection system for abnormal operation.

Did you notice any difference in power delivery like, holes in performance or abrupt power bursts instead of the usual balanced running?

Also check the fuel lines for major or slow leaks. The pressure in the fuel system can cause leaks that are not so noticeable when the bike is stopped and the escaping fuel while on the move can go unnoticed too if it is in the form of fine spay mist.

Hi GR rider ... thank you for your help ... i have never noticed any difference in power delivery ... i parked the bike for a month or so and then i rode it for the rest of the 140 km remaining ... so there is no way of any leak when its stopped ... as for when its moving i'm not sure but there isn't any sort of fuel smell ... the distance i can cover is always 140 km give or take 5 km every time !!!

I am new to Kawaks but got a Bandit 650 with a similar issue, it was a dirty MAF sensor (airflow sensor), and leaking exhaust,

I know its an old thread, but hope someone can use the information.

I am putting this on an old thread as it still comes up in Google search, there is a.plastic that comes off mafs which are notorious for leaking splitting I put a new hose on .silicone bike idle rev jumped to 4000, so adjusted now get 50 to 70.percent better fuel economy
