Exhaust???

Since you probably won't push the bike hard enough to know the difference, it is definitely not worth spending the extra $200.

I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I have a 00 ZX-6R and am looking for an exhaust for my bike. I'm a relatively novice rider and was informed that purchasing an entire exhaust system may not be worth my money since I may not be able to push the bike hard enough to really notice the difference. I heard Akrapovics were supposed to be the best for kawas but if I am just gonna get a bolt-on is it really worth the extra 200 bucks vs getting a Yoshi or D&D[?] Any help or knowledge on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

I'll pay extra for Akrapovic again next time, no question. But if you don't notice the differences in build quality, mebbe it's not for you. I've been happy with Yosh in the past too, but personally, D&D does nothing for me, especially in terms of build quality (and my last pipe WAS a D&D)...

I'm a newbie, but why no talk of Muzzy systems? I always think of them w/kawi bikes.

Have a look at this thread... and why I'm tired of Muzzy being linked with Kawasaki even YEARS after not working together anymore...

Muzzy used to be really integrated with Kawi, but now they only are in drag racing.
Akropovik is now Kawi's brand of choice..

Yosh and Hindle have good quality. If you're just going to get a new bolt-on can then the HP differences from 1 pipe to another are not that much..
