I'd ask for a pic of the eliminator installed on a 6R. It looks clean on the R1 but they're really easy to do on an R1. The 6R has a bunch of other issues for it to work. Bear in mind that the price doesn't include the lights.

I installed it over the weekend and am pretty happy with it. It is more of a fender "reducer." I kept 100% of the trunk space so that sticks out a little. I also kept the rear reflector for safety (might remove it later). It will do until I go for the complete paint-matched undertail.

I would throw that fender elim in the garbage and just screw the stalks through the trunk compartment. Check out my pics at http://www.petrongelli.com/motorbikin/index.html .
I dilled a 1/2 inch hole, which was a little small, but you can just screw the stalks in the tight hole for a very snug and water tight fit. Make sure to measure the distances to get the holes even on each side.

Use the original license plate bracket and move it to where the reflector is. Rotate 180 degrees and mount it there. If you want reflectors, get the little reflector/wingnut bolts at PepBoys to mount the plate. Then you can trim some more off the fender and it'll look cleaner. I can post pics if needed.

You're right, rdandy5875, I'm going to junk that eliminator. But I am going to do it right and get the real Competition Werkes eliminator kit - I don't really like the trunk hanging down - looks only slightly better than the stock fender in my opinion. Anyone out there have a different recommendation other than the CW? I've seen it on a few bikes and like it.

I pretty much did the same thing as everyone else did with the cutting of the undertail. Only thing is I left the stock blinkers on it. All you really need is a dremel tool to cut about 90% of the unnecessary shit off the tail, switch turn signals and reverse the license plate bracket. The fender eliminator is the biggest waste of money because it doesn't look much different then our chopped tails. IF you want to spend a $150 you may as well spend a little more and get a real undertail kit. I suggest Texasfairing.com or xtrememotographics.com. Thay definately have the nicest looking ones and they include turn signals.

I dont have mine yet, but its from http://www.extremegraphicfsmd.com/indexeng.htm

They've got a few nice parts I'll be getting.
The owner tells me he will have a rear hugger for the 6r soon too, but e-mailing him to let him know there are people interested may speed it up.
