I need some help. I went out last night for a ride and this morning when got up I notice I had a rear flat tire. I called around to see if I could get it fixed and they recommended just buying a new one. I still have the ones from the dealership the (2003 636 model/ 180/55zr 17m/ c (73w). I was looking it to getting wider tires or also may be like blue tires I’ve seen some in a magazine. Any suggestion? thanx

First off I would not touch the coloured tires with a 10ft pole. They may have the same tread pattern as popular sportbike tires, but they are not the same rubber. None of the tires manufacturers endorse these at all.

As for going to a wider tire, any particular reason why? going to a 190 for example, will slow down your turning, leaving the bike less agile. It will make the bike a little more stable in a strait line, though I've never found a 180 to be unstable, so I wouldn't want to sacrafice my turning abilities for a 190.
