I was wondering if frame sliders for a 2000 6r could use the stock fairing bolts or if you had to drill a hole in the fairing?

The frame sliders that use fairing bolts are about useless and mostly for looks. The problem with mounting good sliders on the pre-'03 ZX-6Rs is that the left side motor mount bolt that is used to mount good sliders is behind the coolant tank. A company called R&G Racing in the UK makes some good ones that have a modified coolant tank but they are pricey.

Like SW sais, the ones that mount to the stock fairing bolts are not very good, since the bolts are so thin.
I use them on my bike, mainly to help if the bike just gets knocked over. Anything more then that and they will probobly just shear off.

Quality ones will mount to the engine bolts, but on our 98-02 bikes you'll need to cut a hole in the fairings, and as SW said the waterbottle is in the way on the left, so you'll need to modify the tank yourself or buy one.
