how do i take off the fork protectors without taking off the whole front fender, and if i have to take off the whole front fender, how do i get that off without taking off the whole wheel?

or i must take off the wheel to replace a fork protector?

On the 00-02, you can remove the black side covers on the fender, there are 2 screws on each I believe, on one top of the fender, on the part that actually hugs the wheel, and the larger ones lower down.

Sadly, I could not see any easy way to remove the whole fender without removing the front wheel, the one screw is way up in there and almost impossible to get at.

take of the fornt fender. onmy 01 the fronty fender is being helsd on by four 10mm bolts, two on each side.

I have a 99 and i don't see any easy way to get the four bolts out without taking the front wheel off...what a pain the ass to just replace a fender
