Yep, you will need a torque wrench at least to replace the fork tubes in the triple clamps. Make sure you take the caps off the fork tubes before you loosen the triple clamps. You will also need to make a tool to measure the oil level and one to work the rod in the middle of fork tube. A cut up coat hanger will do for both.

Hello everyone,

I want to change by myself my seals in the front fork. Do I need a torque wrench or not? First time I do it so if you have any tips... Thanks.

All the proper torque values are in the Kawasaki service manual.

From memory, you should torque the lower and upper clamp bolts and the lower fork pinch bolts to 14.5 ft·lb, and the handlebar bolts to 16.5 ft·lb.

I do not know the torque values for the front axle and the fork caps off the top of my head. Unless someone else spouts off first, I will reply with those when I have the manual at hand.
