Some part #'s are the same, some different.
I think they will physically fit, but I don't know how they will work. Most of the parts on the 98-02's are the same/similar, but in 00 they did some suspension and engine upgrades
Comparing the pictures, all outside components are the same. I just spoke to a performance shop that does all my work and he said that basically the two forks are the same. What changed were the internals as was depicted by the pictures (which are awesome by the way). He said that the newer forks are more designed for performance. More track minded than is for cruising. Basically looks like the same fork but having better performance. Thanks for the responses.
