So it looks like have to post here because it's my first post. This forum has been helpful for me to solve some other issues but I can't find the answer to this one.

I have been trying to figure out why my fuel pump isn't working. I can't find anything conclusive but it looks like the fuel pump should be getting 12v and it's only getting 6. I checked with it unplugged and plugged in. It seems to work fine when I manually give it 12v.

I assumed this would be a problem with the fuel pump relay so I bought another one but it's still doing the same thing. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Oh I also checked the voltages going into the relay, when unplugged. Two pins are at 12v the other two are zero. To me this indicates that the relay is causing a voltage drop and either I have two with the same problem or the fuel pump is meant to operate at 6v.
