I have noticed more than once, not everytime, that when I shut the bike off and key is completely out of the ignition that it sounds like the fuel pump is still cycling. I have never counted to see how many times in a row it does this but it is more than twice. Any ideas?

I think its your gas tank. Next time you hear it open the tank and you should hear a small burst of air. Thats how mine is anyways.

yeah mines the same dude, its all the pressure in side trying to get out , mine does it even when i ride, i asked the mechanic its normal.
