Fuel valve prime??

988 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  swjohnsey
I just got a 90' zx-600 from a friend. I know from his experence that if the bike sits too long the carbs go dry and will not start due to the petcock not having a vaccuum to it. I read in my clymer manual about a prime valve but cannot find it. Can someone help me? YES I know I need to find and fix the carb leak.

If you spray starting fluid into the air intake you can get it running long enough to get fuel to the carbs. I think the fuel petcock has a prime position.
