ok i took my gas tank off and did a basic tune up on it. and while i had the tank off i went ahead and painted it while doing so a piece came off the gas shut off. it is the piece that the fuel line hooks to. At first glance it looked like it just would slide back in and be good to go. but after putting the bike together gas is leaking out of that point. so i am wondering if anyone has any info on this. it also looks a little like an O-ring might have been around that piece and then it goes in

any info would be appreciated

look for a microfiche of all the parts for the fuel shutoff/petcock. go to bikebandit.com. They sell all OEM parts, and there are free microfiches of everything. Compare the actual petcock to the microfiche picture. See whats missing.. if anything. or just buy a whole new one.

so i found out that the 2 pieces are not suposed to come apart so i instead of paying 50 dollars for a new one i just jb welded them together and its good to go
