Gearing down again

I have a 97 zx6r I geared it down once by -1 tooth in the front. before I did this it ran at about 5000 rpm at 60mph now it runs at 6000 rpm at 60 this created a little more vibration at a cruise but I do not have the big bar end weights ( still loking) I think I want to gear down again by doing plus 3 teeth in the back I am asuming that this will put me at 7000 rpm at 60mph Is this somthing that I should do?[xx(] I am just looking for a little more torque. I am not a stunter I just like torque. I know I need a bigger bike but this is what I have to work with. so is 7000+ rpm to high for a crusing speed. I do comute on this 4 days a week. thanks for your help

By going down one in front and up three in the rear you will increase you rpm at 75 mph in 6th by about 1,000 rpm. So at 75 mph you should be turning about 7,500 rpm.

Oddly enough, I have a '95 and went from 15/40 to 15/39 and I am still able to get the front end up in 1st and 2nd (some times unintentionally).
