getting my ex-race bike back on the road

Recently bought a 1996 ZX6R ninja, which was a race bike and decided it could be a bit of a project to get it on the road. wanted to upgrade from my ool-faithful honda VT250. Just wanting some advice on the best ways to go about doing things, like, the bike has no head light, brake light, indicators, speedo, and stuff like that that needs to be put on for roadworthy. i now have all the parts, have the wireing diagram so i know what plugs into where, and the roadworthy standards, checklist type thing. Need advice on the best way to cut the fairing to get the indicators back in, brake light, headlight. oh and if anyone can tell/ describe to me where exactly the front indicators are meant to go would be useful, have a pretty good idea, just need conformation from someoen who might know a bit more about what theyre doing than me.
