Hi Guys/Gals

What would be a good carry out price for a 2002 ZX6R in Colorado.
Any recomendations for a good Kawa dealer in CO.

Thanks

Right now you can get them for $6500 - $6700
+ tax and tags

Dont let the dealer charge you prep or frieght, I got my 2000 for $6700 (+ tax & tags) Art picked up his 2002 for $6740 (+ tax & tags)

Hey Ruff..

Try haggling back between 2-3 different dealers and tell them that the other place is offering it for this much. Like Dave said, I got mine for 7300 out the door which comes out to 67xx b4 taxes and tags. I went back and forth between NY Motorcyle in Jamaica and Crossbay Honda by Howard Beach and also Camrod on 47th and 11th in Manhattan. When I first started shopping for price I got quoted 8200 out the door!! Hope this helps

Thanks Artie, I'm going to NYMC tomrrow. Will post on my results.
Damn! I want this bike now!!

(I won't tell them that)
Honestly, If I were you i'd wait for the 2003's to come out, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't.

But if you must, just go into NYMC and tell them 7200 out the door (you know 7400 can be done) why not try lower first.

Make sure you have the cash or good credit, he checks it right there in 2 mins.

Let us all know how it goes...

localbar - you mean wait for the '03's so I can get a better price on the '02 or because the '03 is a better bike? I heard the '03 has a more radical riding posture and FI so I figured for me It might be better to get an '02.

I am embarrassed to say how much my zx6r was. Lets just say the dealer used Gestapo Mob tactics on me. Having bad credit is almost better than NO credit…figuratively speaking.

But I’m happy with my purchase and that’s all that really matters.

Dat's okay.. I had no credit either..So I financed it under my girlfriend's name. Bad thing is, her name is on the title.. and she thinks she owns it! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

No if you want an 02 buy now, don't wait till the 03's come out.. Dealers have a factory to dealer insentive right now which means they factory has lowered the price of the bike so when they dealer sells they get more cash and owe Kawasaki less (for the most part dealers don't buy their bikes from kawasaki, its sort like a loan. Once they are sold they have to pay kawasaki.) So you can work that insentive to your adbvantage and get it for less... the dealers are looking to get them out of the shop so that why you see sales everywhere you go. Right now is a good time to buy.

I had to struggle with the same decision. Buy now, or wait for the 636 to come out (Feb?). I went for the end of season price on the 02. The 03 is going to be more expensive anyway, and they won't budge much from the MSRP at the beginning of the year , that's for sure. Besides, I really wanted the 02, probably better for me anyway, since as it is, it's more bike than I should be riding anyway... can live without the extra 37 cc's (for now :)

FWIW, paid 10K CAD... now somebody around tell me they paid 9K please so I can hit the wall with my helmet :)

Woah.. what's FWIW? I hope you're not saying that you paid 10K out the door.
