I've done it to get where I needed to go, but not on a regular basis. Buk is right, it kicks up a lot of dust, but I wouldn't be worried about chipping up the bottom of the fairing. There's enough loose rocks, etc. on paved roads that small chips are inevitable.
gravel roads
all my life i have never given a thought to riding a gravel road. but i have never had a faired bike like a ninja 400. how much does a gravel road tear up all those fairings? do most of you stay off gravel roads or do you ride them whenever you want to?
