If you dont mind traveling north take 41 to northland ave in appleton exit there, get on 00 going east down a few blocks to "hwy a" take a left there go through black creek, just before you enter bonduel turn west on hwy 29 and take that to the second "shawano" exit, this will be named "hwy 22/main street/47 55 north" Take a right on this road turnign off the off ramp. Take this road through downtown shawano following it back out of town.. You are now heading to keshena (indian reservation). You will come to keshena on hwy 47/55. Go through keshena, just on the outskirts of town you will come to where hwy "55" turns off of 47, turn right on hwy 55, enjoy for the nexy 25-30 miles... Have put on about 450 miles and only have seen 1 cop which i flew by about 95mph and he didnt even bother... I usually go past the "rafting" places and turn around just after i get out of the county, you will see the county line, as it changes in some other, i dont remember what it is though. After that i hammer back down through and go home!

It seems like a day's trip for you but it would be worth it, its very beautiful with the river next to it in some parts, and people rafting down it.. Becareful of the local folk, most wont bother you way out in the country but dont stop in town unless its pretty urgent.. They wont shoot you but, its just better to not even chance it.. Nice road, lots of twisties, havnt come across much gravel either.. One corner is just flat out awesome i think, you get into it and it just keeps coming around you feel like you almost make a circle.. I came around it one time to meet a semi tanker and almost passed out from shock of seeing the big mammoth hauling ass around it.[|)]
