i just happened to notice this the other night when i replaced my twisted handlebar holder with one from an '01.

the handlebar holder is the same for the E and F model, but the handgrip (handblebar) is different. the E model is a single bar with the end-weight mounting directly to it. whereas the F model handgrip is actually shorter with a heavier adapter that the end-weight is mounted to, making up the difference..

i believe kawi did this to help reduce vibrations to the handgrip that may have increased due to the engine rubber mounts being eliminated.

yeah nothing earth shattering, but for all the folks here that are always swapping parts and upgrading and asking about the differences. who knows, it may be useful to someone.
