Trying to swap out the clip-on bars. Apparently you have to remove the yoke, but I can't get it off. Anybody have any tips/tricks/help?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to take more off to use a piece of wood and rubber mallet from underneath.

A lot of work for a couple clip-ons! Do most people swap them out for aftermarket to avoid this? I'd definitely do it if there aren't any drawbacks.

Thank you!

Think it's just about to pop off. For anybody else that comes across this, you can use a long flathead underneath the yoke and lay it on the frame. Then you can tap the handle up with a rubber mallet.

p.s. - would definitely like opinions on switching to aftermarket so clip-on replacement is easier. Yay/nay?

p.p.s - I just noticed the handlebars I ebay'd are slightly bent. fml.
