So we are heading for a Co. event and decided to ride the bikes down. Me 02 ZX6-R 1996 Buell 1000 with Pipe & jet & Harley 1998 1200.

Well, of course they look over and they are like do you think you can keep up with us. I just grined inside the helmet, eyes were looking real small from that big ass grin. Well it was calm for the first hour then the road got open. We were passed by a Jauguar at about 120 MPH so the Buell goes after the Jag start to fall back near 125 130. Harley was no wear to be seen. Then hot dang this felt good. I muscled pass the Buell and the jag near 140. When we stopped of course guy on Buell circles my Bike 100 times asking me if the bike is worked; nope bone stock. Down side was, when we got to the event and people asked how the ride was, now I am the nut that blew by them at 135 140. Before I had the little bitty 600. In general though people are giving a lot more respect for the Racing 600's. This was over the summer. Be safe out there.

I love telling people when they ask "What size bike is that.."
Oh its only a 600. Then they comence to tell some tall tails of their 800lb tourer. Then its on.. LOL.

98 6R. TBR slip-on. No poser add-ons..

I ask you...why do those big cruisers think they are going to blow a 6R off the road. More CC doesn't necessarily mean squat. The 6R is so quick and fast with a huge top end for its size yet everyone thinks its a puddle jumper.

I was riding home the other day and was sitting at a signal when a new 02 GSXR6 came up next to me. I complemented him on his bike and said, " that’s a fast looking bike" is it a 600? He said yes and when the light changed green we both took off. I played with him a little by pulling away and letting him catch up. But when I reached 65 the race was on. I was at 120 and he was left way behind although he did try to keep up. When we met again at another signal he asked me if my 02 ZX6R was a 750cc and with a shit-eating grin I said "no it's only a 600"

Have a great day.

he couldn't have been that good of a rider then, cause a gix6 has more HP then a zx6r.

i've ridden in some cruiser stuff with my dad and guys will be like "man that bike is only a 600? thats tiny" my dad wont say anything and when i get next to them in a line, i make sure to downshift a couple times and show them what a supersport has.

You think that's bad... I rode into work one day and three guys came up to me like "Nice bike..is that a 9" At first I thought they were going to jump me for it..but then I was like "No its a 6" of course they didn't know kawi made the 6 in blue, and I removed all the factory stickers. Then they go on to talk about how I must not ride very hard because of all the chicken stripes and $hit. I then had to explain to them that I just had my tire plugged and can't afford a new one, and since the season is almost over, yada yada. Then I ask what do they ride and not one of them even owned a bike. I've gotten my babe up to 155mph, smoked 3 ricers that thought they were even in my league, and almost beat my brothers BMW M3 (but damn that $hit can corner). Now when someone pulls up I just blip the throell and let them go, its just not fair<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

We be ridin' Ninja 600's never Harleys kid

Yeah me and a buddy (r1) were riding on some back roads. He's got more uhhem, experience, than me so I catch up on the straights and I was cruisin at like 140 and didn't even realize it, felt more like 100. I suppose due to us going 100 most of the rest of the time, 140 felt like I was cookin', not 100. Anyways I backed off the throttle after looking down at the speedo. The odds of an accident increase exponentially with each passing foot, which by the way only takes .0049seconds, or each passing second, in which you would have traveled 205feet. Think about that speed, every second you almost cover a football field. I'll flirt with death occasionally, but please everyone be careful, ride within your limits, rubber down, watch cagers, be observant, don't trick in traffic, wear gear, keep speed to the open road,..................
