well i went for a ride today and my bike shut off....outta oil. imagine that, anyways i got it home and put some more oil in it and now it will run witht eh choke but after it warms up it shuts off. did i screw my pistons up? or does the 99 ZX-6R have that thingy that if oil gets low it shuts off to protect the engine? cuz its a 99 with only 2198 miles on it. so please help as soon as possible

visable leaks? just like a car if the oil pressure goes to low the car will cut off

could i have put to much oil in it now? i dont understand why it would start up with teh choke and after warming up a bit start to putter out and shut off

If you're talking about it dying when it's warmed up, and with the choke still on, that's pretty much what it will do.

These engines don't run very well when they have the choke on and they are warm.

If you've warmed it up, then turned the choke off, and it's died, then I don't know what the problem is.
