Ok this thing wont start its a suz t250 2 stroke with dual carbs at 250cc. before i took it apart it ran on 32:1 mix(really smokey) since i didnt have the oil tank hooked up yet. so i took it apart got all new cables, restored the frame and everything. now i got it back together and it wont start. i got power, good spark, right gap, fuel in the inline filters... it just wont kick over, sometimes itll almost start up and push back on the kickstarter but wont keep going.. so idk anyone here point me in the right direction?
i can tell you this, the timing of 2 strokes is very important. i had an old 2 stroke yamaha that wouldnt start because the timing was screwed up, i gave up on it.
its done with "points" like old muscle cars. usually on the side cover, right where the stator is. setting the timing is done by taking out a spark plug and inserting a dial indicator to the cylinder, you set the piston at a certain length before TDC and set the points to zero. its hard to explain, but you really should get a service manual, it will make things a whole lot easier.
