Help with rear turn signals!!!

Alright ladies and gents. I need help figuring something out. I just recently bought a secondhand bike from a guy. 08 650 ninja. Great mileage, just a bunch of cosmetic and busted controls. Anyways I replaced most of the physical stuff and I'm at the wiring stage. The guy had some streetfx lights on it so I pulled it all out because I don't care for it and it was poorly done. I then bought a generic tail tidy, some basic turn signals that mount to the tidy and I started installing. Only thing is I can't get the turn signals to respond to ANYTHING. I know the blinker wiring is good because when I make contact to my integrated tail light it works the turn signals in it just fine. I'm at a loss. I've attached some pictures of the wiring for the turn signals I bought. Red is +, black is -, and the blue is for the running light OR +. No matter what I touch the live wire to they refuse to do anything. Am I missing something or are they just duds? 🤷🏼

Hello,
Welcome to the site!
The stock blinker relay is designed to work with traditional incandescent light bulbs, not LEDs. It needs a resistance load to operate properly. That is why when installing LED turn signals without changing the relay, resistors must be included into the wiring.

So would I need one for each side?

Yes, for each LED light. Or you can avoid installing resistors if you replace front stock signals with LEDs too. Then you can opt for a special flasher relay that works with LEDs:

So I was able to get some resistors and they work great for the turn signals. However, I can't figure out how to run the DRL that are in them as well. I figured I would be able to splice them in the tail light wiring but I'm guessing since they are LED as well I would need separate resistors for those also?

Resistors are only needed for fixing the blink rate, for permanent running lights it's not needed, you should be fine to just splice in.

Well see my issue is I can't figure out how to get them to work. I tried splicing them in the brake light and nothing. I tried the license plate light aaaaand nothing. Am I missing something?
NVM I must have been missing something. I guess my splicers must not be any good. I just ran them end to end with my license plate light and all the sudden they work. 🤷🏼
