HID lights

Has anyone installed a complete HID system in a 6r, one complete with ballasts? I think they look fantastic, but I'm looking to buy the best quality system since it'll probably cost $300-$400 and I don't want it to crap out on a dark rainy back road some night. I'd appreciate any info on manufacturers and any installation experience so I can plan ahead for the riding season EVEN THOUGH IT'S SO DAMN COLD OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW!!

Why don't you check out the Lochart Phillips headlight bulbs. Allegedly, they only draw the standard 55-60 watts, but output what looks like a 120 watt HID lamp. I have not seen them, but have heard they are very close to the real thing...and only $20.

You may also want to consider what is called a bulb "halo" which is a piece that slips over your existing bulb to give it a green/purple/blue/hyper-white/rainbow appearance. I saw someone with this installed and I can't wait to get mine in a few days!

THIS COMPANY I USE TO SELL FOR WHEN I HAD MY BUSINESS WAS REALLY GOOD QUALITY AND INEXPENSIVE WWW.24HIPER.COM I USE TO DEAL WITH STEVE ,BUT THEY GOT REALLY BIG SO STEVE MIGHT BE OUT ON TOUR DOING CAR SHOWS

ASS,GRASS,OR GAS NOBODY RIDES FOR FREE! THE TANK IS FULL AND I DONT SMOKE SO FIGURE IT OUT
never use regular halogens that generate 120 watts of light from 55/60 watts. those bulbs are "overclocked" and pull the actual 120 watts. (there's no free ride; you need more juice to make more light; which means more heat!)
those things will melt the wiring harness, I've seen it happen doezen of times on cheap hondas

just a word of caution

Ken
