Hi all just over from the "Newbie" section. I have been looking at the Vulcan Vaquero and the Concourse but now thanks to locknload I have been looking at the ZX14R. I am going to go look and sit on one this weekend but I wanted to get some input from you larger sized riders.. No offense...

I am 6'5" 250. I use to ride GSXR's but that was in the very early 90's. This 46 year old back cant do that type of seating position anymore. I am looking for something that I can go on a cruise with the wife but also do some mild spirited riding by myself. I would like to hear you alls thoughts.

Thanks locknload for confusing the situation even more!!!!:D

The Ninja 1000 would save you some money, and is milder for power than a Concours, but the back seat would need some work to be better for a passenger.

The adventure bikes in the list below require a rider with long legs:

You listened to locknload?
I'm not a big rider but I think you'll fit perfect on a new 14.
I also ride with my wife and it's great for riding 2 up and that's one of the reasons I chose the 14.
i've had cruisers and the wife hated the riding position.
The ergonomics are better than any other sport bike you may have ridden on.
And it hauls ass

There's a guy on another forum who is 6'6 and he's loves his 2013 ZX 1400r. I'm not so tall but it's a wonderful bike! It's great for 2 up and when you placed that seat cowl back on for your one up rides you will think it was made for you and you only!

I'm "only" 6' but the 14 is an amazing 2-up cruiser. Gobs or tq, extremely smooth power delivery, and more comfortable seating position then a traditional crotch rocket.

I can't really find fault with anything about it...I don't think any other bike can do everything together as well as a 14 (comfort, handling, speed, looks, reliability, etc all in one package).

Im 6'6" and its by far better comfort wise than any of the newer bikes out imo. The gsxr 1k or busa was the next closest.

ZX-14R is def NOT a cruiser lol, but it is more comfortable than a ZX-6R. You cannot beat the comfort of a full on cruiser if that is what you are looking for in a bike is comfort.

btw I'm 5'7" 190 give or take I feel like I'm riding on top of a rocket

5'11', and went through a ninja 300, ninja 650 and now a ninja 1000. Most comfortable seat was on the 650. Most comfortable position, the 1000.
