how do i recalibrate speedo after regearing?

I just geared down my 99 6R one tooth in the front and now the speedo is way off and it is also racking up miles on the odometer that I'm not actually putting on the bike. Sooo, I need to recalibrate the speedo and get everything back to normal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Can it be done by a mechanic or at a Kawi dealer? I've read some things about a device called the Yellow Box that is supposed to be able to correct this problem, but am a little hesitant. Has anyone used this device or know anything about its effectiveness or reliability? Does anyone know what percentage of correction I would need to make up for -1 tooth in the front sprocket, or maybe an equation I could use to figure this out. Even a link to another website with this type of info would be helpful.
Please let me know any info you all might have on this. Thanks a lot.
