I know I promised it would be done 2 weeks ago but work has been hell. This page has pics and video detailing the steps involved in shimming the needles on your 2002 ZX6R and prev years.

All I can say is mine runs so much nicer after doing it. It was dramatic as our 6R really had a bad hiccup at the 5-6k rpm range.

I hope you find it useful :) and if you find any mistakes please let me know:D

Page is here --> http://www.gstwins.com/zx6r/zx6r_shim.htm

Do you know if this or a jet kit will have better results?

Anyone? Thanks.
Yes. I was told this worked fine (better than a jet kit? Probably not, but better than nothing) on older models. This is the other thread about shimming the needles. http://kawiforums.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7610 As you can see the last post discusses differences on older models. Maybe someone should bump that old thread up?

Anyway looking at that page I forgot how detailed I was by including a video. Damn I was ambitious :D Sad that so few are willing to do the mod considering how much better the bike(my wifes) was.
