I just got my first 600 and noticed this bolt leaking, tried tightening it and it tightens a bit but then keeps spinning. I have no clue what it’s for can does anyone know what it is and how I can fix it ? Thank you

Hi. First of all, do not screw this by force. It should be tightened with the right force (see manual service) and as for leakage, there should probably be a gasket, usually gaskets in the form of a copper washer which should be replaced every time the screw is unscrewed.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but those bolts hold your crank case together around the crank shaft itself. And it sound like it's stripped. The upper case threads, probably not the bolt threads. The only way you're truly going to fix it is to split the cases and have an insert installed where the threads in the case should be. Don't know why this would be stripped in the first place unless the cases were split apart previously and over torqued on re-assembly.
