I am looking to get a new set of tires. I am deciding between the Metzeler Sporttech M1s and the Bridgestone BT-010s. Both are nice tires, but the bridgestones are only $170, not $250. What do you think? Front- 120/60/17 Rear- 170/60/17.

Also, there seems to be some rattling which the shop has said comes from the cam chain. I would like to install a new tensioner, but don't know if this will fix the problem. Can I insall a new one without removing the engine? Also, how hard would it be to remove the engine then have the shop replace the rails and chain if needed; which will save over $400?

One last thing...since it's been cold, my spyglass has been fogging over after I ride. If I let it sit for a few hours it usually goes away. How serious is this...I know everyone doesn't get it, but I don't know how to fix it.

Thanks for your help. I'm a newbie and don't ride much...yet...that's another consideration about the tires....mileage.

I have run the bt010's on an F3 and am now running the M1's on my 6R. I like both tires very much, right now I kind of like the m1's better but haven't gotten to the end (milage). As far as price goes I'm not sure right now but I found the prce differnce to be neglable. Try this site and see what the differnce looks like.

What year is your bike, concerning the rattel, is it still under warenty? Proabbaly not.

Spyglass? Is this code for the oil level site? Probably not a big deal, just condensation from the cold weather.
