So, i just raised the needles / shimmed the needles to my ninja and the idle is definitely off.
I am trying to access the idle mixture screws but the caps are giving me a hard time.
without removing the carbs from the bike, is there any easy way to get them off? I've been trying to take off with a milwaukee offset and sharp hex screw by piercing it.
Is there any easier way you guys have done this?

When you say hex screw: Are you talking about a self-tapping one like this?

Or like this:

The first one will literally cut a hole and thread itself in pretty easily. The second one will just annoy you

Nope.

It really should be pretty simple. If you use a traditional screw you need to drill a small hole for the screw to bite into or drill a hole large enough to stick a screwdriver in to pry the cap out... If you use a self-tapping sheet metal screw it drills a hole and taps itself in one step. It SHOULD come out pretty easy.
