the bike should only idle that high if the choke is open when you warm it up. if your at a light or stop it should be around 1100-1250k rpm. as far as adjusting ask someone who knows about carbs:D

oh wait your in canada......

hmm is that the same as U.S. rpm[|)]?

it shouldnt right cuz it revolutions per minute and not miles or kilometers.

The exchange rate at the moment in RPMs in oz is about 55c. So, in the US it would be about 1250, here in oz about 2100.

I have a 98 6r and need help to properly set my idle rpms? currently after warming up it idles at 3000rpm. is that too high? how do i adjust it?

Great thanks rob. However is do not have a clue how to adjust the idle or locate the adjustment knob. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Look down by your right leg just above the clutch cover and below the frame. You should see a black plastic knob about as big around as a nickel.
