You can get the proper idle speed for your bike from the service specs at buykawasaki.com. It is 1,050 ± 50 rpm.

The info in the owner's and service manuals may vary slightly.

1050-1150 rpms. 1200 is cutting it close.

My bike is idling at 2000rpm. I knew it was high but I didn't know it was off by so much. Thanks for the info. I will get it fixed soon.

be sure your choke is closed:D
