Is there any rims out there that are noticably lighter?
Will these rims, if there is any, stand to withstand wheelies.
Any Ideas?

Yeah, there are lots of lighter wheels, Marchesini (sp?), OZ, etc. They not only make the bike lighter but they improve handling by reducing unsprung and rotating weight. The down side is that they are very expensive.

I wouldn't buy magnesium or carbon fibre rims for a street bike, way too expensive and way too fragile for potholes and stuff. If you (or the guy who changes your tyres) bend/break them, you have to bin them.

Forged aluminium items (like OZ wheels in Aprilia Mille R) are a different story but they are also very expensive. So I would stick with standard rims and invest in suspension mods. But that's just my 0.02.
