Just finished coming back from a ride after my new advancer was installed.
The bike does feel stronger in the mid range....2nd gear power wheelies.(without tugging)
Has others like me had likewise results? +/-
Not into the power wheelies, but yes, the advancer makes for crisper throttle response -- like having a top layer of mid-range added to the power band.
I'm not a wheelie guy by any means. But when the getting gets tough then the power comes on and away goes the front tire...I'm not complaining...per say.
I do believe it was a Factory one, 4 degrees sounds about par.
Do keep in mind, almost everything has been done to my bike as far as mods go.
My only engine mod is the advancer, plus an open pipe. Yup, it's a factory pro +4 ignition advancer, and I don't need anything else for the street (well, maybe an air filter and a stage 1 kit. But that's it). [^]
I've used the Factory +6 on my 99 G2, only other mod is a remus race can. Wow what a difference, midrange is transformed & on the track last week made one hell of a difference taking the bigger bikes
