My voltage regulator fried itself last weekend and left me stranded with a dead battery. While I wait for the replacement to get here I decided to hook up a digital voltmeter on the dash. I got one of those sidewinder missile-type switches at radio shack and a blue LED voltmeter. I mounted the meter on a layer of rubber to keep anything from vibrating.

Results:
switch off with flash

switch on no flash

(its still hooked to the float charger, thats why its showing 13 volts)

yay or nay?

It gives you info' you need, and it doesn't look bad either, although the switch could be mounted in a different, less obvious spot.

I say "Yay."
