I did this a few weeks ago. I got my hands on a stock 300 canister for cheap. It fits right on the stock newgen 250r header. I did have to make a exhaust bracket until I put the 300 passenger peg brackets on. ( I am assuming they will be correct haven't tried it yet) the 250 pegs don't line up with the canister bracket. Its a little lighter though I didn't measure the weight difference. Surprisingly it is louder than the 250 can. Gives the bike a little deeper tone and you can actually hear the engine!!!!! who would have thunk it. lol.
so if your wanting a little different look for cheap this is a good idea. there isn't any noticeable performance gain. this is solely a farkle.

°°° edit. Newgen header not pregen. Sorry for the type error

no, not really, but the canister was free and I like the look better than the stock 250. it is slightly louder, its a commuter bike, so I didn't want to put much money in it. I plan to go with a full area p system in the future. I aint going to waste cash on a slipon.
