Well after some debate I decided to go with the above combo (if I didn't like it I would just put the 15 back on the front)
Cons: speedo is way off best I can tell is about 25MPH. Speedo healer will help that

Pros: Pulls harder then my friends 05 R1. Truth.
Have to be careful in 1st will stand straight up under about 1/2 acceleration. You have to try to keep the front wheel down not try to get the front wheel up
2nd gear powers up with little effort clutch or bounce not needed here.
3rd clutch up take little effort and pulls so hard it is almost scary
4th,5th,6th power is always on tap. Twist the throttle=haul ass.

Oh and 6th gear at 80MPH (guess) about 8200RPM's

im curious..so the sprockets took all the fun out of the bike until you reach 3rd gear? Can you just turn somewhere lay on the tank and pin it or do you have to dog it through 1st and 2nd..im thinking about doing the same combo cause im starting to like wheelies..where would be the best place to buy them

I had a 1000 but dropped back down to a 600. Part of the fun of a 600 is being able to crank it and at the same time not worry about it coming up every time u do.

I just put the -1 on my 6R yesterday. More then enough if you want to get the front up in first and with a little effort in second it will come up as well. Still great for on the highway too. I wouldn't do anyting as drastic as -1 / + 4. But hey, it's your bike so only you know what you want to do with it.

orange02zx6r:
you do not have to dog it in 1st and 2nd if you lean forward and rip the throttle the front will get light but it will not lift. to lift it at 1/2 throttle in 1st you have to be at the back of the seat and leaned back. The bike is 3 times as fun to ride as long as you don't mind highter rpms on the freeway occasionally.

wtf.....so you effectively went up 7 in the rear....

I can't see why people would go down one in front either....when there is an option that gives the same effect with less wear.

So does -1F=+3R? I've been wanting to change my sprocket I just don't want to be topping out at 130mph. I like my 175mph top speed
