Okay i have searched and came up empty handed. I don't know where my instructions went but which vortex slider goes on which side. One slider base has a little extension on it and the other one is flat on both sides. I am thinking that the flat one goes on the right side but just want to be sure because it is hitting the fairing and I thought you only had the cut the left side.

I think the longer one goes on the left side? When they're on they should extend a similar amount from the fairings.

Vortex Install

There is a link to a How-To on the Vortex Sliders. But to answer your question; the longer base gets the shorter bolt on the Left side of the bike (cut side) and the shorter base gets the longer bolt on the right side of the bike.

That is correct. Also, you only need to trim the left fairing.
