Had a pretty good crash a while back on a 2006 ZX6R. How would a person go about determining if the frame is straight - i.e., what should be measured, how, where, and so on? I can't see any obvious bends, but am afraid the whole thing is tweaked. There is plenty of other damage, and I don't want to start fixing it only to find that it veers left anytime you go over 20 mph.

It needs to be checked out by a garage with the correct equipment.
You could have it on a paddock stand and view it from all angles which will give you an indication, but if it is slightly out, you won't be able to see it.

try a moto suspension shop. theres a bunch in my area im not sure about yours, but you would have to tell them you think the geometry is off cuz the frame is possibly bent and ask if they can check it. all kinds of lasers and crazy shit is needed to check it
