I was looking for bikes to mess around with on trails, riding around the neighborhood, and any other thing i think looks like it would be fun to ride on. I'm not doing any motocross riding and since I am a beginner I want I bike I feel comfortable on. I sat on a yz85 and a crf150f and liked how they felt. A yz85 has a seat height of 34 inches and a kx 85 has a seat height of 32.7 inches. I know a kx100 is on a kx85 frame and an rm100 is the same as a kx100, so I will be okay with either. Is the kx100 a good option because it will last me longer with a larger dispacement than an 85? I am 5'9" 130lbs have an inseam of 34" and have no riding experience.

The fact you have no riding experience probably makes this a less than stellar option for a first bike, it's a racing motorcycle so it has some juice that will likely catch you by surprise or scare you from riding it. Comfort is something you should take into consideration but you also have to be comfortable with the bike when it's "alive", as in you are riding it. Especially considering the type of riding you'll be doing, the KX line is for racing and it being a racing 2-smoker you'll need to pay attention to service intervals and do the occasional top-end rebuild. Probably not best suited for riding on the road or trail riding, it will do those things but it'd do better in other settings. Plus they cost more than a KLX, and I'd guess also cost more for servicing. You're better off with a KLX as a first bike, they aren't very slow but they are good first bikes, nearly bulletproof.
