I was reading previous posts about how great the shift star replacement is and I recall that it is an aftermarket part that costs a lot $150-200??

One comment was made that Kaw has now come out with a new version of the part. Does anyone know if that is true and if that is as good to use instead of the aftermarket one.

BTY as mentioned in previous thread going to reverse shifting has really reduced the likelihood of missed upshifts to 2nd and 3rd gear.

You sure they didn't say Factory Pro(the company that makes the shift stars) and you misinterpreted it as Factory? Otherwise I haven't heard anything about it.
