However, if you're upshifting into second, or just giving it hell in second, your front sprocket may be worn down, and the chain will "jump" and you'll feel and hear the sprocket spin from underneath the chain. Check the condition of the teeth on the front sprocket.
thanx for the swift reply. ive checked the front sproket and it seems fine rear ones good to, but this problem only hapens in second gear, and not when downshifting...

im having a problem with my 98. any time i put the power down in second gear my bike seems to skip[?], as if there was a touth missing has anyone got any idea what this could be, and if so how i could fix it?
