Soooo Gutted I’ve just dropped my bike!!!

I was walking her backwards out of a space and there was a big pot hole about 3 or 4 inches deep which I hadn’t seen and I stepped in it and dropped the bike (well laid her down) tried my hardest to keep it up and even pulled a muscle in my right leg trying 😞

Only s few scratches on the fairing but all same I’m devastated as she was immaculate

Try not to worry too much about it, it has happened to us all, gravity is a bitch.

Never try to desperately hold the bike upright, you can repair static fall damage much easier than broken bones.

So take it easy, it's definitely not pleasant but you are getting some experience points :wink2:

Completely agree with GR, don't beat yourself up - it's one of those WHEN it happens, not if things = live and learn! :/

That's actually what crash protection is for IMO...
Not for when you crash, although it can & does help in the right circumstances, but when you drop it.
For less than £200 on decent protection, it will save you £500-600 on new fairings!

Yeah ironic that i was looking at them the day before but hadn't decided on which one i liked the look of the R&G ones and was going to get them but just wanted a quick look around first.

Ho Hum a little late now but I'll still get some soon as the leg still hurts so i think i'd prefer it if i knew it would be OK.

There's not much damage and a new sticker would hide most of it i think, maybe I'll contact the Kawasaki dealer to see if i can get a new one ?

Good luck with the leg - hopefully back on the bike clocking miles & smiles again soon!

Ebay is good for sticker replacement and will save £s over OEM originals for something low down on the fairing like that...
