I have a 2011 Ninja 1000 that I just love. Put a Rumble Concept fender eliminator on tonight but I'm a little worried about the small LED lights and if they are legal here in Montreal. The space between them is about 5 inches. I think the law says 8 inch spacing. Looks great just don't want to attract any trouble. Thinking I might modify it with some slightly bigger lights.

Biggest problem, talking as a driver who might be following you, is that close spacing can often mean it's difficult to decide which way you're going to turn,and the indies can get lost altogether against the brake light.
Not too bad on a dull day, but nightime, rain or bright sunlight all compound the problem. The spacing is more important than the size of the lights.
