can anybody tell me what motorcycle oil to use in my machine. A motorcycle mechanic has told me not to be using fully synthetic oil in my machine as it will do damage to my clutch?

Hello and welcome! It depends on the particular synthetic. I have used Shell Rotella T6 (JASO rated for use in motorcycles with wet clutches) in my 2009 ZX-6R (other than for the break in period). I have ~70,000 miles on it now, and it still runs like new!

Here is the link: https://amzn.to/307qqqS, but you can get it at Walmart for around $20 or so.

I have an '07 ZX6R and run Royal Purple 15W40 full synthetic on the track and never had any problems. In fact, I've been using this oil in all my machines since the 90's with the same results. Probably trying to sell you his shops oil...

Like stated, anything rated JASO for motorcycles. No automotive type, fuel saving oils. Shell Rotella T6, Mobil 1 T4, both readily available most everywhere.
